Why we use Zips
At Hoolies, we prioritize both functionality and convenience in our designs. That’s why we use two-way zips in our products. These zippers can be opened from both the top and bottom, offering several benefits:
- Enhanced Mobility: Two-way zips allow for greater freedom of movement, making it easier to sit, bend, or reach without fully unzipping the garment
- Improved Temperature Control: You can adjust the zipper to regulate temperature more effectively, keeping warm or cool as needed
- Convenience: Accessing inner pockets or adjusting fit is simpler with two-way zips, providing added practicality
Wash Care for Plush, Cotton Onesies and Sleep Sacks with Zips
To maintain the luxurious feel and durability of our plush velour and cotton products, follow these care instructions:
- Turn Inside Out: Always turn the items inside out before washing to protect the fabric, zips, and any prints.
- Zip Up: Ensure all zippers are fully zipped up to prevent damage to the zip or other garments.
2.1 Hot water can misalign zips, warp them and even make the pullers brittle leading to potential breakage.
2.2 Only zip it up after it has dried. Harsh detergents can damage zips as well – best to avoid! - Use Laundry Bags: Place the garments in a mesh laundry bag to protect the zip and fabric.
- Water Temperature: Wash at 30 degrees.
- Gentle Cycle: Use a gentle wash cycle with mild detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners and dryer sheets.
- Air Dry: Air dry the onesies or tumble dry on low heat to maintain their softness and prevent shrinkage.
- Ironing: Do not iron over the leatherette label.
- Prints: Avoid excessive heat and ironing on focal prints.
- Stain Treatment: Treat stains promptly with a gentle stain remover before washing to ensure the best results.
Zip Tip: Vaseline isn’t just for skin care; it also provides lasting lubrication for fixing stuck zippers.
